The mother of a toddler wrote that her son had a terrible experience observing other children violently attacking a bat. He wondered why nobody came to help and would nobody help him if he was being attacked? The mother explained to the boy that people may not have helped because the bat was dirty and not smart, while people read, speak, think and feel. The boy responded, "I think he felt stuff, Mom. He was crying. I know he was crying and Mom, I can't read."
The children of some friends were visiting this week. My animal family members relayed to me that children are more connected to what they are feeling. "They tend experience the feeling of enjoyment more than adults. We'd enjoy being with (adult humans) even more if you were more like this," remarked my cat, TirNa.
I've seen 5-year-olds who could, in a sense, teach animal communication to adults simply by leading by example. These children have complete belief in what they are receiving from an animal. But something happens as children get a little bit older, and they begin to question if they are truly understanding an animal.
TirNa goes on to say, "Kids are silly, funny. They understand more than people give credit for. They don't question what they hear from us. They just accept it."
I asked my animals if they think children hear animals more than people do?
They collectively describe communication with children, "They are simpler. Sometimes simpler is better. It's more fun to be with them." Thanks, TirNa. Nothing like cat wisdom to make you feel insecure. TirNa elaborates that their "lighter" energy is just easier to experience. TirNa adds, "I wish that older people would be more like children."
Words of wisdom.
Top Tip For Being More Childlike When Hearing From Animals
Spend some time sitting quietly. Simply imagine that you can talk with animals. You don't have to know if you are right or wrong. Just enjoy and be open to what happens. Keep in mind this is fun and there is no pressure. This is good practice for building confidence and ridding ourselves of blocks of self-doubt. We all have this ability to communicate with animals.
