6 Tips For Choosing The Right Professional (Your Pet Is Depending On You)

Our love for our animals is what drives us to want what's best for them. That's why it can be so confusing when our animals have a behavioral, emotional or medical issue occurring, to know which direction to turn. Emotions can confuse your ability to discern if a treatment provider is best for your animal.

1) How do YOU feel about this potential animal communicator or energy worker? Do you feel drawn to work with this individual? Energy workers can have very diverse backgrounds, styles and personality types. What works for one individual may not work for all. Be confident in your intuition and discernment about what is best for your animal.

2)Pay attention to your pet's response. Do they appear comfortable with the provider? Animals are extremely perceptive so be present and observe. Is your pet turning or moving away from the provider. You know your furry family member best so trust any concern you have about how your pet responds.  Avoid getting distracted (maybe even shut off phone) during your initial appointment.

3) Determine the attitude of your provider. Is he or she open to learning about your perspective about your animal? Does the provider respond positively and with interest?

4) Is the provider genuinely concerned with your pet? Even though everyone experiences "off days", pay attention to your instincts. Is your provider "present" during your appointment time? These factors combined, produce a successful session for everyone involved.

5) A provider who wants the best for your animal should stay focused on what is in the best interest of the animal. This is the case even if that requires referring you to another provider who might be a better fit. Energy work is not a "one size fits all" service. We may work in conjunction with other providers or determine that your animal would benefit more from another qualified provider.

6) What have you noticed as the result of working with a treatment provider for your pet? Have you observed change, improvement or valuable insight? Depending upon the type of service that your animal has received, you may expect to see clear improvement, if not immediately, than shortly thereafter. In some cases, it may take multiple treatments. Make sure to be in communication with the practitioner about what you should be expecting and in what time frame.  Most importantly, do not allow feeling that you have a lack of knowledge about the issue or feeling intimidated on any level prevent you from asking all of your questions. Do not underestimate your knowledge about an issue concerning your animal. Be confident and ask questions because it is the job of your provider to work with you for your pet.
