Dash's Gift of Grace

I was contacted to consult with, Dash, a beagle mix, after his food consumption had decreased and he had been regurgitating a good deal of what he was eating. Veterinarians had run tests and provided some medication but things had only mildly improved.

Dash was clear that he did not want to be a "burden" to his family.  His humans, Rebecca and John, had recently had a baby.  Dash explained that he was very aware of how tired they were. Rebecca was experiencing post-pardom depression after the birth of her daughter. About a month after the baby was born, Dash began to have digestive issues.

As a medical intuitive, I will see and feel during a conversation with an animal, what that animal is experiencing physically in their body. During our conversation, Dash showed me a red bright spot in his abdominal area. This spot felt painful. Dash, however, said that he wanted me to share with his human family that he did not want them to be too concerned about this. When I asked him why this was, he said that he did not want to become a burden to them.

Dash explained that he was very aware of what his parents were going through at this time of transition and that he did not want them to have to worry about him. I explained to Dash that his parents loved him enough to ask me to assist, and that in order for change to happen, it would likely be important for us to share what he was feeling with them. I explained to Dash that being honest was a part of the healing process and asked him if he would share how he has been feeling with me.

Dash, like most animals, was very sensitive to what his family members were experiencing emotionally and physically.  Dash had "taken on" the stress in the home. He explained that he felt like his stomach was hurting because he he was just feeling so much tension. Dash said that his appetite was not so good and that he felt like he was not going to get better if things didn't change. Dash gave me permission to share this with his family members.

Having this understanding of the root cause of what Dash was experiencing allowed for some true healing work to be done. Dash's parents apologized for not being able to pay as much attention to Dash, who had been the "baby" in the home before the human baby arrived. They also explained that they had been less able to go on long walks with Dash, something that he really enjoyed and needed to release energy. Dash said that being able to walk really helped him and his family agreed to try get back to more frequent walks for Dash and, if needed, to hire a dog walker to help the family. We used some essential oils to support Dash emotionally and physically, as well.

Dash being able to eat consistently again began right after our talk was a huge relief to his family. Dash expressed that he held no resentment about the challenges faced with the arrival of this new child. He understood what his family was going through and forgave them for any mistakes that may have resulted. My joy comes from seeing the results of truly listening to what the animals tell us they need and seeing direct results. Dash and his family have been an incredibly inspiring experience and another example of why I love what I do.
