Our
love for our animals is what drives us to want what's best for them.
That's why it can be so confusing when our animals have something of
a behavioral, emotional or medical issue occurring to know which
direction to turn. Sometimes our own emotions can confuse our ability
to discern if a treatment provider is best for our animal.
1)
How do YOU feel about this potential veterinarian or energy worker?
Just because other people may be raving about them doesn't make him
or her right for you.
2)Pay
attention to your pet's response. Are they excited to meet the
provider? Animals are extremely perceptive so be present to observe
is your pet is turning or moving away from the provider. Avoid
getting distracted (maybe even shut off phone).
3)
Determine the attitude of your provider. Is he or she open to
learning about the methods you use or embrace? Does the provider
respond positively and with interest?
4)
Is the provider genuinely concerned with your pet? Even though
everyone experiences "off days", pay attention to your
instincts. Is your provider "present" during your
appointment time? These factors combined, produce a successful
session for everyone involved.
5) Keep
in mind, if a treatment provider wants what is best for your animal,
then they should stay focused on what is in the best interest of the
animal. This is the case even is that requires the services of another provider. After
all, when you are truly loving your pet, providers are confident
that you know your animal best.
6)
What
have you noticed as the result of working with a treatment provider
for your pet? Have you observed change, improvement or valuable
insight?
Depending upon they type of service that your animal has received,
you may expect to see clear improvement if not immediately than
shortly thereafter. In some cases, it might not be as
immediately obvious that your fury friend has been helped or it may
take multiple treatments. Make sure to be in communication with the
practitioner about what you should be expecting and in what time
frame. Most important, do not allow feeling that you have a lack of knowledge about the issue or
feeling intimidated on any level to prevent your from asking all of
your questions. Most
important, do not underestimate your knowledge about an issue
concerning your animal. Be confident and ask questions because it is
the job of your provider to work with you for your pet.
