My animal family and I have been very blessed to have moved this year to a home where we share a backyard play area with a wonderful mix of people and dogs. Not to mention one of my feline family members who likes to join us outside every morning.
I asked the group (first consulting with the cat, as it should be) to talk about what it is like to interact with each other.
TirNa (the cat): Watching them play is funny. Bentley (11 month old Australian Cattle Dog) is really funny. She stares so hard at you people to get a treat. She wants the treat so bad and she has no way of hiding it. It's like she has no self-control. It's also funny how Rusty (10 yr old Collie mix) gets fed up and tries to control them. And how Abe runs around looking for someone to play with. It looks like he's lost.
Anne: What about your sister (Cheyenne-2 yr old Sheltie Mix).
TirNa: She's too “shy.”
Anne: Why do you think they are all together like this?
TirNa: To learn from each other.

I asked the dogs what they are learning from each other and was maybe not so surprised at their answers (seems the feline and canines are on the same page):
Rusty: I have a lot to say. I know I am practicing how to be a leader with a touch of gentleness. How and when to back off if I need to. I am protective about my puppies.
Bentley: To have more self-control

Cheyenne: To step into the mix/to have self-confidence.
Bentley: Shows me how, on an energetic level, she is trying to “draw out” of Cheyenne a stronger side of herself. I note that this is so true. Bentley will sometimes be distracted by a toy or just not as interested in playing with Cheyenne. Occasionally, Cheyenne will suddenly try to play jump towards Bentley.
Abe (9 month old Chihuahua Pekingese mix): I'm still trying to understand my place (in the group). I'm a little confused sometimes. It's fun playing, though!
Dogs as a whole: discuss that they “stir up or enliven” the energy in this area. We make it better for the humans.
Animal Communication Success Story!
"Thank you again, for (our animal communication) session. I have been feeling sooooooo much better. I was in a really difficult place last week because I didn't understand nor did I know how to fix the problem we were having. I let my friend listened to our session and she was really impressed & stated she was thinking about contacting you for a session with her babies. Since I didn't know what to get her for Christmas I thought, 'Hey, this would be perfect!'"- Mo in New Jersey
