Do You Think You're Pretty; Indie The Pittie Reflects Upon Herself

On a trip to New Orleans I was missing my animals at home in New Jersey. I showed my friend some photos of them on my phone and she asked me if I thought my dog, Cheyenne, considers herself to be pretty? She does. At least, she thinks people think she's pretty.

I proceeded to text myself this question which I often do so that I don't forget blog article ideas (which are always welcome, BTW). I then received a gracious text back from another friend, “I know Indie thinks she is.” I replied and asked if she thought I was drunk? My friend's response "Well, you are in New Orleans, after all.”
So do animals think they are attractive?

I asked my friend's dog, Indie, a female pit bull terrier, what she thinks about herself
Indie

A healthy ego

Indie: I am gorgeous. My eyes are beautiful. My dad thinks I'm beautiful. I get excited when dad comes home. Mom's on a regualr schedule so it's different. I don't know every day for sure what time dad's coming home so it's more exciting.

I was distracted here by a phone call. When I came back....once again...

A really healthy ego
Indie: I am gorgeous!

Anne: Yes, I agree!

Indie: I am love. Just full of love. I am love. I have lots of energy. I spring up! I like to jump!

Anne: So what do you think that people who aren't your mom and dad think about you?

Indie: I'm scary. But I'm really not scary. I wouldn't ever hurt a kid.

Anne: I've been told that you like babies.

Indie: I protect them. I am very motherly. Kids are special. I'd like my own kids.

Anne: I'm sorry. Are you OK with the fact that you won't have puppies (she has been spayed).

Indie: It's OK. I think my mom and dad will have kids and I'm excited about that.

Anne: Does it bother you that some people think you're scary?

Indie: Sometimes. I feel judged. I'm not that way. I wish those people would give me a chance. I am love. Can I tell you something?

Anne: It feels like she really wants us to get this so there is emphasis.
Indie: Life is exciting! There's so much to do, (Shows me her running through grass). I'm in love with life! (and again) I am love!
