My initial reaction was to shake this
guy off my arm. Luckily, I didn't shake my arm too hard because he
stayed. I stopped and asked him if he had a message as I have found
non-humans (and often human beings) are in our paths for this reason
if we stop to listen. It just took me a second to remember. I am
human after all.
Flying insect: You almost dismissed me.
Do you realize that I fly and how amazing that is!
Anne: It is. I'm sorry that I almost
ignored you. I did see an insect on my arm and wanted you off.
Flying insect: Why do you assume things
about me based upon appearance? You forget that appearance means
nothing. It's magnificent what I do, flying about the world. Taking
flight feels incredible. Feeling the air under my wings holding me
up. It's a shame you do not get to experience this.
Anne: Thank you for letting me feel
that through you, though.
Flying insect: Now, you have to go
about the world not assuming. You have to just have to go and take
flight. Go with it.
Anne :Very true! You are a blessing to
me. Thank you. And thank God for giving me this gift today.
Insects and other non-humans are
sentient beings. They absolutely have the ability to think and feel.
What I find to be especially interesting is that in order to hear
them we need to slow down and stop what we are doing. Considering the
fast pace world that we live in isn't it interesting that in order to
receive this gift of animal communication we have to commit to
stepping out of this pace. Perhaps that slowing is a key element of
creating positive change in this world. We just have to accept the
challenge of unplugging and then connecting on a heart level with
animals and other humans.
