Cedarwood is one of my favorite essential oils. I love it's earthy scent and I use it for both my animals and for myself.
I especially find Cedarwood to be fantastic for those occasional, temporary bouts of anxiety experienced by our pets.
For example, should you be traveling to
the veterinarian office, Cedarwood can be applied topically to provide
an animal with some much needed support. I normally will dilute an oil
before using with an animal. I might apply a drop to my own hand and
then rub my palms together lightly. Then, I would pet onto the animal's
body applying intuitively to where I am led. Of course, avoiding the eye
and possibly the mouth area. Oils will go where they are meant to in
the body.
You can also mark an area of the animals
crate with an essential oil and they may benefit from the scent.
Cedarwood's scent creates a relaxing, calming, and comforting atmosphere
for our furry friends when they are in need of some extra support.
