"Recluse"
"What do you mean, 'recluse,' I asked? Are you a brown recluse," I said as I jumped backed from my mailbox?
In front of me was a small spider sitting still on an intricate web she had spun.
"No."
I tuned in deeper and realized that what she was telling me was that I was not getting out enough.
This is true, I have been very busy working lately. And although with at least one fall event a weekend, I have technically "out," quite a bit, this isn't what the spider meant. Spider was telling me that I needed to actually spend some time with a friend or two doing something that did not involve work.
Now granted, I don't really consider this "work." However, I do need time away from my "work" with animals. If anything taking a break here and there keeps things fresh and exciting.
The spider was right. And, since I agreed and put "out there" the energy that I was open to an invite, I received one a few minutes later from a friend to get together that evening. Perfect.
Thank you spider for drawing my attention to the fact that although I've been spinning a wonderful web and greatly enjoying it, there is always a need to take a moment to rest.
