Allowing Our Animals To Help Us At Work

Olivia the Acupuncture Assistant

I spoke with a cat named Olivia recently who made a point of discussing the fact that she assists her person, Katherine, a Certified Acupuncturist, during her acupuncture sessions.

Of course, Olivia is not literally assisting in placing of the needles in people. She is, however, providing a level of support and guidance while her person is working. Olivia mentioned that she is “with” her person while she works. Although Olivia would sometimes be physically present in the room during the sessions she was also referring to the fact that she was supporting her person on a deeper level.  Olivia gives her person little “pushes” in the right direction as to where a client might need a needle placed and some added intuition as to what might be happening in their bodies.

How Is This Possible?

Our animals are sometimes so tuned in to us that they can be helping us without us even being aware. Just like we think of a particular friend or family member and we feel supported without them even having to be in the same country. This support can often take place on an energetic level. Therefore, our animals can “be there” energetically. If we are tuned in, we might realize it. If not, we might be  missing out some wonderful gifts.

Example of TirNa

My cat, TirNa, is interested in “teaching” me and also providing me with additional guidance about the animals with whom I work. TirNa and I chose each other for this reason. She will often participate in the courses that I teach to assist me and the students in their learning.

TirNa has sent me added insight into a variety of animal's situations. Of course, I always verify with that animal if they are in agreement.  So far, she has never been off. She will sometimes push me to continue on down a road of questioning and I'm always glad I listened to her.
Allowing Our Animals' To Help Us

Some questions that I might ask a person's animal during a session might include the following:

What do you think of the work that your person is doing?

Do you have any suggestions that would help with any issues that your person is having at work?

Do you help your person in their work?

Do you think that it is in her highest good for your person to be doing this kind of work?

Do you see any areas where this work might be detrimental or having a negative impact on your person?

Do you feel that there is work that your person is not doing that might be uplifting for her?

And many more questions are there for the asking if we give are animals that opportunity!

Why Not?!
I have never spoken with an animal that wanted anything less that what was in the highest good of their person, so then logically aren't they a valuable source of insight into what might be in our best interest?
